If you can afford it, you might want to make a regular donation. Oxfam was founded in 1942 as the Oxford Committee for Famine Relief. The original cause being to mitigate the famine cause in Greece by the Nazi military occupation. So when people say that charities shouldn't be 'political' they are, of course, talking nonesense. Oxfam always was highly political - just not 'party' political.
Oxfam and has since become a world leading development and aid NGO confederation. They are still headquartered in my constituency at Oxford.
